Smarter Grid Solutions win Ashden Award for Smart Energy

Smarter Grid Solutions (SGS) were among global winners recognised for their contribution to sustainable energy and living at a ceremony hosted by Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy, where the award was presented by ecotricity ambassador, Helen Taylor.

The award focused on SGS's contribution to increasing the integration of renewables in the UK and North America, where its world-leading software has now successfully connected over 300 MW across 14 operational schemes.

Judges commended Smarter Grid Solutions on an ingenious 21st-century solution to significantly upgrade the UK's 20th-century distribution network to enable more renewable energy to be connected.
